This is just my personal opinion and I would like to request that the twilight movie fangirls would please not track me down and maul me in my sleep, thank you.
I would also like to point out that if you haven't seen the Twilight movie already then you don't want to be reading this, coz it's got spoilers in it.
Just incase you didn't bother readin' that part I'll put this here.

Alright, I'm gonna be blunt.
The movie sucked. Big time.
Half of the actors were just all wrong, Bella practically spoke in a monotone the entire film, and they haven't captured the essence of the books in any way.
There were these parts where they were trying to keep the movie a certain lenghth so they put most of Edward's and Bella's talking into short random scenes where they were lying around seemingly having their conversations from the book, with some crappy music playing over the top of them.
Everything was just a huge disappointment and I really don't get why so many people like it so much. It just doesn't make sense to me. It's like, as long as they can get a real life picture of Edward and Bella together then they instantly fall in love with the movie, even though it was a complete dud.
When James, Victoria and Laurent showed up during the baseball match there was no sence of any real urgency or danger. They didn't seem like vampires that were masqueraded as (very attractive) humans. They looked like humans trying to be vampires. They did this weird line up thing where they were just a foot of so apart, then they struck a pose on que and attempted to hiss. Or at least I think that's what they were doing. To be honest I was closer to laughing than anything else. If fact, that was my mood for alsmost the entire 2 hours. Laughing because it was just so bad, that it was humerous.
I'm sorry if you don't like it but that's just what I thought of it, a complete failure.
But I do have to say, when James broke Bella's leg, that was pretty good. It seemed really real, and boy does she have a good scream on her. Which is one thing I always thought Bella would have, a good loud scream.
Ciao~

I know huh, it put me off the books coz everytime I'd try to clense myself by re-reading them I'd just think of the movie and get annoyed. Yeah I noticed the random quotes as well. Did you catch the part where they even referenced the front cover of the first book? So unnecessary.
Agreed, the Host is a good book. It has redeemed Stephanie Meyer in my eyes.

I actually started the movie at a friends house (I was away when it was out in cinema) and it was fun. Every like two seconds I made a comment on something, only way to enjoy the movie really.
The diamonds in Edward's skin? So did NOT want to touch. Sniff and they were supposed to make him so pretty

I just don't think Robert Patterson is that attractive in the first place. I think he wasn't right for the part. In fact, almost all of the actors weren't.

The only actor that was rightly picked was Jacob, sorta he really did look older than whatever.
Sigh oh well, you can't change it...
